Who is the ghostwriter behind MoreU?
I'm Phil Henderson, a 62-year-old Geordie, and I've spent over 25 years writing for others. I wrote "OPC: Other People's Courses" and I created the Editorial Engine. Through MoreU I write newsletters, in confidence, for solopreneurs, small business owners and founders who know well-written copy wins work, but haven't got the hours to write it.
If you want someone who'll push back when an idea is weak, and who'd rather tell you a fact can't be checked than make one up, we'll get on fine. If you want a team turning out daily social posts, I'm not your man, and I'll happily say so. From January 2027 I'm taking on more clients.
The person in the room nobody saw.
For over 25 years my job has been to sit quietly while somebody else talks. Somebody has something true to say and no time to say it well, and I find the words. You get good at hearing what someone means underneath what they first say.
You also get good at keeping your mouth shut. You won't find a client list on this site, and you never will. The people I write for get the credit, every time.
How I got here,
and how I work.
Along the way I trained with Nicolas Cole and Dickie Bush, and learned the old direct response rules from Gary Halbert and Joe Karbo. I also wrote "OPC: Other People's Courses".
At the end of December 2026 I stop contracting and write full time, and MoreU gets all of that time.
Yes, I use AI, and I say so on everything I put out there. It helps me research faster and get to a first draft sooner. However, it doesn't get your opinions and it doesn't get the final say. I do, and then you do.
Some people think that if they dictate to their AI, it'll write like them. Bad news: it doesn't. It can't capture how you speak, or what makes those words read as human on the page. And let's face it, it doesn't always hear you right. I know first hand, because I dictate a lot of my notes. ChatGPT once heard me ask for "a short post about improving project delivery" and typed "a sports goat about removing a defective celery". That's why nothing goes out until I've re-read every word numerous times, and then you have the final say.
